Eröffnung der Deutschen Gamestage 2012
Keynote Social Gaming: Wie Spiele auf soziale Bedürfnisse eingehen!
Die Eröffnung der Deutschen Gamestage setzt bei ihrer Themenwahl seit Jahren Maßstäbe. Objektiv und kritisch werden gesellschaftsrelevante, wirtschaftlich bedeutende und aktuelle Themen rund um die Gamesbranche diskutiert.
Odile Limpach hält die Eröffnungs-Keynote mit dem Titel „Social Gaming: Wie Spiele auf soziale Bedürfnisse eingehen!“. Limpach erläutert, wie soziale Bedürfnisse einerseits und Social Networks anderseits in die Spielewelt einziehen. Dabei berücksichtigt sie Erkenntnisse der Sozialforschung von Games-Entwicklern. Odile Limpach arbeitet seit 1996 in der deutschen Gamesbranche und hat so manche Trendwende miterlebt. Die frühere Geschäftsführerin von Ubisoft Deutschland leitet heute das traditionsreiche Ubisoft-Studio Blue Byte.

About 100 subjects were submitted this year for the Quo Vadis. The Advisory Board of the German Games Days evaluated all the papers in a six-hour session and put together an exciting and varied program. We welcome many speakers this year for the first time at the Quo Vadis and look forward to working together.
For the 10th anniversary of the oldest and largest developer conference we present for the first time a space with exclusively English-language sessions, primarily with international speakers such as Lars Gustavsson (EA DICE), Chris Donahue (OnLive) and Scott Yoo (Nexon Europe).
The program of the Quo Vadis 2012 starts this year April 24 with the opening of the German Games Days. Further information on the opening will follow shortly.
Among the highlights on April 25 will be:
- Keynote “Battlefield: Lessons Learned” by Lars Gustavsson (EA DICE)
- Keynote “Worldwide Monetization of Free-to-Play MMO’s“ by Scott Yoo (Nexon Europe)
- The Lecture to Spec Ops - The Line
A few highlights on April 26 will be:
- The world premiere of Ubisoft‘s new online title
- The Keynote by Chris Donahue (OnLive)
- The Lecture by CD Project Red to The Witcher 2

Lars Gustavsson holds Keynote at the Quo Vadis 2012
For our 10th anniversary, we present a special international highlight: The Swede Lars Gustavsson, Creative Director of the EA DICE success series "Battlefield" and one the best known game developers worldwide, will hold a keynote under the headline “Battlefield 3 – Lessons Learned” on Wednesday 25th April. The developer conference 'Quo Vadis', created in 2003, takes place from 24th to 26th April in Cafe Moskau in Berlin.
